You could use e-mail like I've said before to send or give important information to one another. For example, a principal could give a fire drill but the teachers may not know and the principal has to tell all the staff in 5 minutes. Well, if she send a an email telling them she could send the same thing to over maybe 100 or more people. Another example, if a bank owner had to tell all the managers of all the banks they had to close at 10:30 am and it was about 10:00 he couldn't call over 20 manager in 20 or 30 minutes he could send an email. It is important to know how to attach because when you have to send a document you did in word or maybe a power point presentation you just have to attach it in the email.
